Precision Electric Company has an immediate opening for a HR/PAYROLL/LABOR COMPLIANCE SPECIALIST.  The HR/Payroll Specialist must have the knowledge, skills, and experience required to process weekly payroll for approximately 100 employees, including certified payroll and payroll reports.  This is a union company and you must be familiar with union pay scales.


  • Collect, compile, and enter weekly payroll data using appropriate software
  • Review and verify source documents
  • Investigate and correct payroll discrepancies and errors
  • Complete requests for pay-related documents including statements and verification
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations and guidelines regarding prevailing wage, Public works projects, and LCP documentation
  • Process in-house payroll on a weekly basis including Certified Payroll and Certified Payroll Reports
  • Process liabilities and garnishments
  • Labor compliance
  • Prepare reporting and documents for upper management and yearly external auditor
  • Maintain employee files with required documentation, ensure completion of new hire documentation
  • Maintains human resource information system, records and compiles reports from database, files all reports in Precision HR files
  • Post job openings
  • Responsible for documenting any of the job injuries and submitting claim (Workers Comp claims, filing injury reports, filing accident / vehicle reports with insurance.


  • Must be proficient in ProCore and Sage 100
  • Must have experience with a Union organization that has multiple pay scales
  • Must possess a diligent, self-motivated work ethic, able to respond quickly to changing priorities
  • Must be reliable in getting the work done in a fast-paced environment
